Frequently asked questions: Bathrooms

  • Q: What is the difference between a standard bathroom and a wet room?
  • A: A wet room has been completely sealed water tight to allow water to drain into a waste built into the floor. Where a standard bathroom waste is built into a bath or shower tray and the bathroom floor is not water tight.
  • Q: If I don't have an existing shower in my bathroom can I have one installed?
  • A: Yes that's no problem, we can install a thermostatic or electric shower depending on your preference.
  • Q: I wish to move my bath to a different location in my bathroom could you give me a quote over the phone?
  • A: As you are wishing to change location of your existing bath, pipework will need to be move therefore a full survey would need to take place before we could provide you with a quote. But don't worry our surveys are free of charge!
  • Q: What do you recommend is best for my bathroom tiles or plastering walls?
  • A: It will all depend on your preferred design for your bathroom, however tiles can give greater protection from water damage as they are installed water tight with sealant.
  • Q: How long will my bathroom take to install?
  • A: A standard size bathroom usually takes around 3 days for a new bathroom suite to be installed. An extra 2-3 days would be needed if you would like your bathroom to be tiled on the walls and floor.
  • Q: How much does a bathroom install usually cost?
  • A: It all depends on water bathroom suite you are having fitted as well as if there is any changes to your existing pipework. That's why we like to conduct a free surveyor to give you a fixed quote!

  • A: No, however we can help you source the products you would like for your bathroom design as well as recommend manufacturers we usually use.
  • Q: Is the work guaranteed?
  • A: All of our workmanship has a one year guarantee!
  • Q: How many people will do the work?
  • A: This will depend on the size of the job, in a standard bathroom fit a plumber will be on site for the fitting of your new bathroom suite, a tiler will tile any areas you wish and an electrician will be on site to install any new light fittings or extractor fans.
  • Q: Will my house be kept tidy?
  • A: Yes. We will use dust sheets to protect carpet and flooring to minimise any dust. If you wish for us to dispose of your old bathroom suite we can also take care of this for you!
